KB-2686: How to restart Full Text Index search manually for DirectAudit AuditStore

Centrify DirectAudit ,

12 April,16 at 11:09 AM

Applies to: Centrify DirectAudit 2.x Console on all Windows platforms

Question:

When running a DirectAudit private query, the result will not go pass certain date. In the left pane of the Centrify DirectAudit Console, right-click on DirectAudit Auditor, new private query, and perform a simple text search. The results return half of the audited sessions only and will not return the most recent sessions.

What is the reason for this?

Answer:

Check in Control Panel > Services to make sure Full Text Index search has been started (This is set to automatic is by default). This setting is required to refresh the datastore.
This can also be turned on manually in SQL Server with the following steps:

Go to the Auditstore database > Storage > Full Text Catalog > Right-click and select Rebuild > Yes > Done.
