KB-26786: How Does the SecurityLayer RDP Library Change Affect Centrify?

Question:

How Does the SecurityLayer RDP Library Change Affect Centrify?

Answer:

There has been a security enhancement that requires the target use a strengthened security protocol. By having the SecurityLayer = 0, the target is using an insecure protocol for communication. The 19.6 connector therefore refuses the connection and will cause no logins.

This setting should be either:
  • 1 (the default) - This means the target will negotiate to the higher protocol.
  • 2 - This means the target demands a higher protocol.
