KB-2439: How to preserve cache credentials when upgrading or reinstalling

Centrify DirectControl ,

12 April,16 at 11:10 AM

Applies to: Centrify DirectControl 5.0.x

Problem:

Cached credentials will expire upon upgrading or after a reinstall.

Cause:

An upgrade to CDC 5.0.2 does not preserve the cache. After upgrading, adclient will start to run with a fresh cache, which means whether upgrading in connected or disconnected mode, the AD user will not be able to do a cached login afterwards. The AD user has to login again to cache the new information.

Workaround:

Upgrade to Centrify DirectControl 5.1 or above.
