Authentication Service ,

14 April,20 at 01:02 PM

Problem:

When installing Centrify 2019.6 on a RHEL8 server (box), "Centrify-sshd" doesn't start on boot up.  "Centrify-sshd" can only be manually started.

Cause:

On boot up, RHEL8 doesn't detect the network state thus preventing "Centrify-sshd" from starting.

Workaround:

The below solution verifies the network is ready on boot up for "Centrify-sshd" to start.

1.) Edit the file:  /lib/systemd/system/centrify-sshd.service
      Change the "After=" line to

2.) After=network-online.target syslog.target local-fs.target
     Exit & save the file.

3.) Reload the daemons by running: systemctl --system daemon-reload

Resolution:

This issue is fixed in the 19.9 release of Centrify Infrastructure Services.
