Tips for finding Knowledge Articles

  • - Enter just a few key words related to your question or problem
  • - Add Key words to refine your search as necessary
  • - Do not use punctuation
  • - Search is not case sensitive
  • - Avoid non-descriptive filler words like "how", "the", "what", etc.
  • - If you do not find what you are looking for the first time,reduce the number of key words you enter and try searching again.
  • - Minimum supported Internet Explorer version is IE9

KB-2389: Wake from sleep/screensaver GPs will log user out of system if a blank password is entered.

Centrify Identity Service, Mac Edition ,

Applies to: Centrify DirectControl 5.0.3 and below on Mac OS platforms

 

Problem:

 

"Idle time starting screen saver" and "Wake up from sleep" Group Policies are enabled.


The computer is woken from sleep or screensaver and the screensaver login prompt is presented. 


If the Enter key is pressed without entering a password, the user will be logged out of the system completely. 

 

Cause:

 

This is a known issue in our code.

 

Solution:

 

Make sure to enter the password before hitting Enter.

 

Resolution:

 

This is targeted to be fixed in Centrify DirectControl 5.1
