KB-2349: How to set up Centrify authentication with MySQL

Centrify DirectControl ,

12 April,16 at 10:57 AM

Applies to: All versions of Centrify DirectControl.

Question:

MySQL can be configured to authenticate using PAM and NSS and since Centrify uses PAM, what steps are needed to integrate both products?

Answer:

1) Please follow the steps mentioned in the word document attached to the KB. It has been tested on the CentOS platform.

2) /etc/pam.d/mysql is required, which is also available in the attachment. Save the attached mysqld.pam.d as /etc/pam.d/mysqld

Note: MySQL and Persona are not Centrify products, please contact the respective vendors for further support and assistance.
