KB-2295: How to uninstall Centrify on Mac OS X

Applies to: All versions of Centrify DirectControl on Mac OS X platforms.
 
Question:
What steps are needed to uninstall Centrify on a Mac OS X system?.
 
Answer:
For Centrify DirectControl versions 5.1.0 and above, Centrify can be uninstalled via GUI under System Preferences > Centrify > Uninstall.
 
For versions below 5.0.3, the uninstall.sh script can be used:
The uninstall.sh script is installed by default in the /usr/share/centrifydc/bin directory on each Centrify DirectControl-managed system. 
 
To remove Centrify DirectControl on a Mac OS X computer:
 
1. Unbind the machine from the domain using the GUI AD Join Utility or by using the 'adleave' Terminal command
 
2. Login in as Local Admin and open the Terminal, run:
 
  sudo /usr/share/centrifydc/bin/uninstall.sh

Enter the Local Admin password and then follow the prompts:

sudo /usr/share/centrifydc/bin/uninstall.sh
Password:

***** WELCOME to the Centrify Suite installer! *****
***** ​ *****

Detecting local platform ...
preparing for uninstall ...
