Question:
If the DirectAudit agent machine is not able to locate any DirectAudit Installation within the domain, the Auditing and Monitoring Service will not be presented when attempt to "Add Service" on the Windows machine and there is no error message coming up.
Answer:
As we would expect the agents are always configured in the end at which time an Audit Installation is always present in the Active Directory.
We understand the current behavior is confusing for customer to locate and troubleshoot the issue. Therefore, we have filed an enhancement request to provide better indicator of the issue and error message.
Currently this is targeted to be included in the Centrify Infrastructure Service 2020 release.
