KB-2117: system-auth-ac & password-auth-ac get appended with .cdc after every reboot

Centrify DirectControl ,

12 April,16 at 11:02 AM

Applies to: Centrify DirectControl 4.4.3

Problem:

/etc/pam.d/system-auth-ac & /etc/pam.d/password-auth-ac get appended with .cdc after every system reboot.

Cause:

If /etc/pam.d/system-auth and /etc/pam.d/password-auth are symlinks, the target file resolved will be renamed with the .cdc extension.

Workaround:

Use the actual files instead of a symbolic links for /etc/pam.d/system-auth and /etc/pam.d/password-auth.

Resolution:

This will be fixed in Centrify DirectControl 4.4.4. or above
