KB-1871: How to disable SAP SNC user password request reset

Centrify DirectAudit ,   Centrify DirectControl ,   Centrify Identity Service, Mac Edition ,

12 April,16 at 11:14 AM

Applies to:  All SAP Netweaver 7.0 and above with Centrify DirectControl for SAP

Question:

How to disable password expiration for SAP users that have been SNC enabled so AD user would not get password prompt with SSO?

Answer:

login/password_expiration_time parameter controls how long users' password gets expired and default value is 0 which means 'never expire'. If the default value was not changed, the SSO user password will never expire.

Please find the following steps to set 'ignore obligation to change the password' for SSO user:

1) Insert the following line in the SAP instance profile:

login/password_change_for_SSO = 0

This can be done through GUI, transaction RZ10, or added directly in /sapmnt/<sid>/profile/<sid>_DVEBMGS<id>_<hostname>.

2) Save the changes.
3) Restart SAP
