KB-1809: Getting error message when running install-da.sh

Centrify DirectAudit ,   Centrify DirectControl ,   Centrify Identity Service, Mac Edition ,

12 April,16 at 11:02 AM

Applies to:  All versions of DirectAudit on Solaris 10

Problem:
Why am I getting this error message when running install-da.sh:

DirectAudit package must be installed in all Solaris zones but Centrify
DirectControl is currently installed in the global zone only. Please reinstall
Centrify DirectControl then rerun this installer. Aborting installation ....

Cause:
DirectAudit and DirectControl must be installed in all zones because once DirectAudit is enabled the shell is switched to dash and, for a sparse zone, if DirectAudit is not present dash will not be able to find dad and will hang.

Solution:
Install DirectControl and DirectAudit in all the zones.
