KB-1796: How to turn off dzdo lecture?

Centrify DirectControl ,

12 April,16 at 11:14 AM

Applies to: Centrify DirectControl 4.2.0 and above for all platforms.

Question:

Running commands with dzdo automatically displays the lecture. How can lecture message be turned off ?

We trust you have received the usual lecture from the local System
Administrator. It usually boils down to these three things:

#1) Respect the privacy of others.
#2) Think before you type.
#3) With great power comes great responsibility.

Answer:

Open /etc/centrifydc/centrifydc.conf and search for the parameter:

#dzdo.lecture: once

Comment out this line and change the value from ‘once’ to ‘never’. Save the file and then run adreload to take effect.

More information on dzdo.lecture, dzdo.lecture_file can be found in "Configuration and Tuning Reference Guide".
