KB-17704: What is the recommended ratio of adclient to domain controller?

Authentication Service ,

18 July,19 at 06:31 AM

Applies to: All versions of Centrify Authentication Services

Question:

What would Centrify recommend on the ratio of Direct Control agent to AD domain controller?

Answer:

Centrify adclient to AD DC ratio has been suggested as 700:1 for old versions.

With recent performance enhancement, we would expect this to have almost doubled. It is suggested that 1000~1200:1 is attainable with the latest 18.11 release and later.

Please be noted this is an ROT estimate based on the performance tests in the lab. Mileage may vary - as this is affected by the number of AD users, number of AD groups and role assignments in the zones.
