Question: Does Centrify Report Services support using AWS RDS as its datastore?
Answer: This configuration is supported; here are the prerequisites and steps.
Prerequisites 1) DB instance on Amazon Relational Database Service(RDS) already exists. 2) The DB engine of RDS must be Microsoft SQL Server. 3) The DB instance has to be joined to one domain.
Steps to configure Report Services using DB instance on RDS 1) Install Report Services 2) Launch Report Services Configuration Wizard Note: This user running Configuration Wizard must have permissions to create DB. 3) In ‘SQL Server’ page, select ‘Use an existing SQL Server instance’ > Input RDS DB instance (The endpoint of RDS DB instance is used as this instance name) > Click ‘Next’ button
Note: Each DB instance on RDS has one endpoint.
This endpoint can be found on AWS RDS dashboard.
4) The rest of the configuration steps are the same as using a Microsoft SQL server detailed in Centrify Report Administrator's Guide.
