KB-13680: "Cannot find key sets of zone name or zone guid. This computer is not joined to a domain correctly!"

Authentication Service ,

29 April,19 at 11:08 PM

Applies to: Centrify Infrastructure Services

Problem:
Message '
Cannot find key sets of zone name or zone guid. This computer is not joined to a domain correctly!' is returned if performing command adinfo. The centrifydc.service cannot be restarted afterwards.

[root@rhel74 centrifydc]# adinfo
Cannot find key sets of zone name or zone guid.
This computer is not joined to a domain correctly!
Local host name:   rhel74
Joined to domain:  resource.com
Joined as:         rhel74.resource.com
Pre-win2K name:    rhel74
Current DC:        dc1.resource.com
Preferred site:    Default-First-Site-Name
Zone:              <unavailable>
CentrifyDC mode:   down
Licensed Features: Enabled

[root@rhel74 centrifydc]# systemctl restart centrifydc.service
Job for centrifydc.service failed because the control process exited with error code. See "systemctl status centrifydc.service" and "journalctl -xe" for details.

Cause:
There are 2 files under /var/centrifydc, named kset.zone and kset.zonename to store the zone information.
If any of these 2 files is corrupted or missed then the above issue appears

Resolution:
Option 1: To perform adleave and adjoin will re-create these 2 files, kset.zone and kset.zonename.
Option 2: To copy the kset.zone and kset.zonename from a Working server which is joined to the same zone. Then restart adclient in order to bring adclient back online.
