KB-1322: Do I need to make changes on JDBC or ODBC applications for them to work with the DB2 plugin?

Centrify DirectAudit ,   Centrify DirectControl ,   Centrify Identity Service, Mac Edition ,

12 April,16 at 11:47 AM

Applies to: All version of the DirectControl for DB2 plugin

Question:

Do I need to make changes to JDBC or ODBC applications for them to work with the DirectControl for DB2 plugin?

Answer:

Our plugins affect only identity and authentication.
If existing DB2 users are not affected by the installation of Centrify then JDBC / ODBC applications should work without any problems.

For instance, if the applications used to make connections as the local DB2 user then those applications will not be affected.
