Centrify DirectManage Access Manager ship with a predefined system role for granting Active Directory user and group sftp right without explicit SSH login. Can this role be applied to local user or local group?
Answer:
This predefined system role, sftp, cannot be assigned to local user or local group due to a limitation of design.
dzssh rights are built on top of PAM rights. Since local user login is not handled by adclient, the PAM rights does not apply to local users.
As a way to distinguish, on DirectManage Access Manager console, if a role is flagged that it can be assigned to local user of local group, as in the scenario of dzdo command rights, there is no mechanism available to assign PAM rights to this role. thus, dzssh right is not possible.
