Question: What are the hardware requirements for the server hosting the Syslog Writer?

Answer: The Syslog Writer is configured to start fetching CISP events at a specified interval incrementally. Below are the minimum hardware recommendations for the Linux server running the Syslog Writer
  • Small: 2 Core 8 GB RAM, 500GB disk
  • Medium: 4 Core, 16 GB RAM, 500GB disk
  • Large: 6 Core, 32 GB RAM, 1TB disk
NOTE: Please reference the official SIEM integration guide for supported platforms for the Syslog Writer server. The September 2018 version is attached.
