Authentication Service ,

Problem: On Solaris 10 the Centrify service cannot be started with an error similar to 'centrifydc doesn't match any instances or services'

Cause: For some reason the manifest is not imported on install /var/svc/manifest/application/security/centrifydc/xml

You might see errors like this:

svccfg: Pattern '*centrifydc' doesn't match any instances or services

Error: /usr/sbin/svccfg exited with status 1

/var/svc/manifest/application/security/centrifydc.xml <no longer a regular file>

/var/svc/manifest/application/security/centrifykcn.xml <no longer a regular file>

/lib/svc/method/centrifydc <no longer a regular file>

/lib/svc/method/centrify-kcm <no longer a regular file>

Resolution: Import the manifest manually with the following commands:

# svccfg import /var/svc/manifest/application/security/centrifydc.xml

# svccfg import /var/svc/manifest/application/security/centrify-kcm.xml

# svcadm restart svc:/system/manifest-import

Restart the CentrifyDC service and confirm it is now in Connected mode.
