  • - Enter just a few key words related to your question or problem
  • - Add Key words to refine your search as necessary
  • - Do not use punctuation
  • - Search is not case sensitive
  • - Avoid non-descriptive filler words like "how", "the", "what", etc.
  • - If you do not find what you are looking for the first time,reduce the number of key words you enter and try searching again.

Questions:

Is there any way to prevent jailbreak iOS or rooted Android devices from enrolling to cloud?

Answer:

Admin can set the following Device Enrollment Settings policy to prevent those devices from enrolling.

Steps:

1. Please go to Policies > Endpoint Policies > Device Enrollment Settings > Permit device enrollment > Yes

2. Set Permit non-compliant devices to enroll > No

When trying to enroll jailbreak or rooted device, below error message will be prompted and the enrollment will fail:

"This device cannot be enrolled because it does not meet the compliance requirements". Please contact your system administrator."
