This KB explains why a User may not see the "Forgot Password?" link after inputting their username.
When a user inputs their username for the User portal, the "Forgot Password?" link is missing on the next screen.
When the link is present, it will look as shown below:
If the "Password Reset" "Self Service" (in the Policy, under "User Security Policies" > Self Service > Password Reset)is configured but the "Forgot password?" link doesn't show up, it is most likely because more than one challenge is being used for the 1st challenge or if only one, not the password.
The administrator will need to confirm the "Password Reset" "Self Service" feature was configured following Centrify documentation: Configure password reset self-service options. The "Forgot password?" link will only show when the Authentication Profile used to reset passwords (set in the Policy, under "User Security Policies > Self Service > Password Reset"), is set to use Password for challenge 1 or 2 as the only challenge.
It is assumed that if there are more than one challenges accompanying the password challenge and the user does not remember the password, they should still be able to authenticate without needing to reset their password using the other challenge(s).
