KB-10139: Remove server as a source for decommissioned Licensing Service

Authentication Service ,

12 April,18 at 11:32 PM

Question:

After removing the licensing service from the server, the server still appears in the list as a source on the new licensing service. How can we remove the old server as a source?

Answer:

This is caused because the server's AD object contains remaining licensing service containers.

How to remove:
  1. Open ADSI Edit
  2. Navigate to the Server's AD Location.
  3. Remove the containers starting with "Centrify-Licenses"
  4. Restart current Centrify Licensing Service and inspect the old server is no longer in the source list.
