Tips for finding Knowledge Articles

  • - Enter just a few key words related to your question or problem
  • - Add Key words to refine your search as necessary
  • - Do not use punctuation
  • - Search is not case sensitive
  • - Avoid non-descriptive filler words like "how", "the", "what", etc.
  • - If you do not find what you are looking for the first time,reduce the number of key words you enter and try searching again.
  • - Minimum supported Internet Explorer version is IE9

KB-10027: Mac agent requires location tracking even with "Do not track my device location" enabled

Applies to: All version of Centrify Identity Service, Mac Edition

Problem:
 
Why does Centrify Mac agent still prompt to enable location tracking after enrollment even when "Do not track my device location" option has been checked?
 
Cause:

Currently Mac location tracking does not honor "Do not track my location" option in User portal. Therefore, if Centrify agent location tracking is disabled under System preference -> Security & Privacy -> Privacy, following prompt will appear:

Resolution:

Our Engineering team is aware of this behavior and will work on this fix in future releases.
