Tips for finding Knowledge Articles

  • - Enter just a few key words related to your question or problem

KB-1000: How to remove orphaned UNIX objects from Centrify Zones.

Applies to: Centrify DirectControl / DirectManage Access Manager 4.x and 5.x

Question:

How can orphaned UNIX objects in Centrify Zones be found and removed, and what is Forest Analysis?


Answer:
  1. Open the DirectManage Administrator Console
     
  2. Right-click on the red Centrify logo and select Analyze
     
  3. In the Analyze Wizard window that appears, select the orphaned data to be targeted.

  4. Click [ Next ] and the Wizard will search through the Zones for orphaned objects.
     
  5. In the following Analyze Summary window, the number of orphaned UNIX data objects found can be seen.
     
  6. Right-click on the objects and select Remove Orphan Profile to remove them from the Zone.
