Applies to: Centrify DirectControl 4.1.0 and 4.1.1 on all OS
Problem:
passswd.ovr file gets removed upon restart of DirectControl agent.
Note: As a result you will see the below warning messages in the log files:
Oct 5 06:24:46 rhel adclient[3878]: WARN <fd:25 NSSGetPasswdDataByUID> util.properties Unable to open property values file: /etc/centrifydc/passwd.ovr
Cause:
When group policies are refreshed or the DirectControl agent is restarted, the agent may remove the /etc/centrifydc/passwd.ovr file.
Workaround:
1. Download the attached nssoverrides.pl file.
2. Remove the old /usr/share/centrifydc/mappers/machine/nssoverrides.pl file from your machine. Do not rename it.
Note: Please make sure you remove the old file, simply renaming won't work.
3. Copy the newly downloaded nssoverrides.pl into /usr/share/centrifydc/mappers/machine/ and make sure the permissions are as follows:

This issue is fixed in the 4.1.2 release of DirectControl
