KB-0806: Cannot resolve UIDs to usernames in ps/top/ls

Centrify DirectAudit ,   Centrify DirectControl ,   Centrify Identity Service, Mac Edition ,

12 April,16 at 11:02 AM

Applies to: Centrify DirectControl 4.0 on Solaris 10 / x86 & sparc on 64 bit only

Problem:

Some of the commands such as ps/top/ls cannot resolve UID's to usernames

Reason:
This is because of libraries not being placed in the right location by Centrify package during the installation.

Workaround:

Create a symlink or copy the file /usr/lib/sparcv9/libgcc_s.so.1 to /usr/centrify/lib/{amd64,sparcv9} folder.

Link can be created as follows:

ln -s
/usr/lib/sparcv9/libgcc_s.so.1 /usr/share/centrifydc/lib/{amd64,sparcv9}/libgcc_s.so.1

If libgcc_s.so.1 is not found on the machine then
get and install the libgcc package from sunfreeware and after installing create the link as follows:

ln -s /usr/sfw/lib/sparcv9/libgcc_s.so.1 /usr/share/centrifydc/lib/sparcv9/libgcc_s.so.1

Resolution:
This is fixed in DirectControl 4.1.0
