KB-0619: How does DirectControl 4.0 better manage its cache files on the system?

Centrify DirectControl ,   Centrify Identity Service, Mac Edition ,

Question:

How does DirectControl 4.0 and above better manage its cache files on the system?

Answer:

A new command adcache --reorg will reorganize the adclient cache and index files to recover disk space used by large numbers of negative items.

It's recommended to run this in a cron job approximately once a week, depending on how quickly your cache grows. This option must be run as root as follows:

adcache --reorg

Default negative lifetime is now 5 minutes
Cache cleanup happens every 10 minutes

Here are the corresponding parameters in centrifydc.conf

adclient.cache.negative.lifetime: 5
adclient.cache.cleanup.interval: 10
