Centrify DirectAudit ,   Centrify DirectControl ,   Centrify Identity Service, Mac Edition ,

12 April,16 at 11:45 AM

Applies To:

All DirectControl versions and Solaris 9, Solaris 10

Problem:

After applying latest Sun cluster patches either upon reboot Centrify DirectControl agent doesn't come up or running the ad* commands results in "bus error" & dumps core.

Cause:

The issue is introduced by new libresolv.so patch which is a part of cluster patches. The libresolv.so patch broke legacy code and hence adclient and ad* command result in bus error.

Workaround:

On Solaris 9:

Problem occurs if patch 112970-12 (or higher revision number) is installed or upgraded to. Please back out the patch 112970-12 to earlier revision.

The patch 112970-12 is superseded by patch 112837-14. If you run into this issue please backout the patch.

On Solaris 10:

Problem occurs if patch 120032-03 (or higher revision number) is installed or upgraded to.

Please back out the patch 120032-03 to earlier revision.

Resolution:

This issue is addressed in the maintenance release version 3.0.7.
