KB-0512: CA Access Control settings can prevent adclient from starting up automatically

Centrify DirectControl ,

12 April,16 at 11:30 AM

Problem:

After restart of the Unix machine adclient does not startup automatically. However, when manually starting adclient with root permissions, it starts with no problems.

Resolution:

CA Access Control (formerly, eTrust Access Control) can be configured so that it will not allow processes to be started. If you have CA Access Control installed on the agent and experience the symptoms mentioned above, you likely have Access Control configured to prevent startup of adclient. The Access Control administrator must change the configuration to allow adclient to startup normally.
