KB-0274: Single Sign-On FTP hangs when user has no home directory

Centrify DirectControl ,

12 April,16 at 11:25 AM

Problem:

Attempting to use single sign-on to authenticate through the FTP server included with Centrify DirectControl Tools causes FTP to hang.

Cause:

The user attempting the SSO FTP session does not have a home directory on the system.

Resolution:

Create a home directory for the user on the Solaris system, verify the user can log in through methods other than FTP, then attempt to use single sign-on for FTP again.
