KB-0179: Java Applications and Oracle doesn't run after CDC installed.
Problem:
Java applications and Oracle does not run after Centrify DirectControl is installed.
Cause:
For some applications which depend on NSS, the order in the nsswitch.conf file is very relevant and important. Centrify edits the /etc/nsswitch.conf causing the application to try and authenticate with Centrify.
Resolution:
Make sure you if you have applications which are dependent on NSS, have 'files' entry in front of centrifydc in /etc/nsswitch.conf
Centrify Direct Control agent automatically updates the /etc/nsswitch.conf file, it is strongly recommended to configure the agent so it does not change the entries in the file.
