How to run a full network trace on an HPUX system for diagnostic purposes.


Network traces help administrators and Centrify Support understand if and where data is sent or received on a network. This example outlines the steps to do a network trace from an HPUX system when in need of Centrify Support.

On the HPUX problem system, run:
# nettl -traceon all -entity all -file trace

Attempt the commands that are failing or that have been requested by Centrify Support.

Turn the trace off:
# nettl -traceoff -e all
