KB-0036: ADSIEdit

Centrify DirectControl ,

12 April,16 at 11:24 AM

Problem:
If you do not see ADSIEdit as one of the options for the Add/Remove SnapIn in the MMC, it means ADSIEdit is not installed on your machine.
You can also check this by typing adsiedit.msc into the "Run" command.

Cause:
ADSIEdit is not installed by default on the windows machines. It is included in the CD under Windows Support Tools.

Resolution:
The Windows Support Tools assist support personnel and network administrators in managing their networks and troubleshooting problems. They are not installed with the Windows operating system; you must install them separately from the \Support\Tools folder of the Windows operating system CD.

For more information about how to install the Windows Support Tools, see Support Tools on the Windows CD on the Microsoft Web site (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=21565).
