Question:

How to show current license type in use by adclient.

Answer:

Starting DirectControl 5.2.3 [Centrify Server 2015.1 release] Centrify administrator can use adlicense with -q [--query] option to show the license type used by adclient. The -t option can change the license type between Server and Workstation for adcleint that's connected to the AD.

Example usage:

adlicense --query

Option Explain
-query
The --query option displays the licensing status and license type for the local computer. If you use this option and "unspecified" is displayed as the license type, you can can use the --licensetype option to set the license type to either "server" or "workstation" for the local computer.
